04 Dec 2016 - Winter update 2016

On 14th September we had a special class taken by Master Hui who was in the Uk from Hong Kong. Along with Stuart Agars from the NCCMA.  Members practised the movements from the Lui He Ba Fa Form under the guidance of Master Hui, this was greatly enjoyed by all members attending. Our last class for 2016 will be on Wednesday 7th December, classes start again on 4th January.

Our annual Christmas meal will be held at The Golden Fleece, Market Place Thirsk on Wednesday 14th December 7pm for 7.30, now fully booked.

Finally, our Annual General Meeting will be held at Thirsk Town Hall on 1st February 2017

04 Dec 2016 - Grading news - December 2016

On 19th November the Vale of York held a very successful Grading at which five of our members completed their forms and exercises to a very high standard, and were awarded their sashes.  Many congratulations to Margaret and Christine who graded for the first time to gain yellow sashes, also Ann and Jenny who were awarded Green sashes for the second grade. Pat now has her purple sash and is well on her Qigong journey. Our Graders were supported by members of our association and family who came along on the day to watch and congratulate them as they were awarded their sashes and certificates. The examiner for the Grading was Sifu Pat Brooks assisted by Sifu Sue Dixon.

07 Sep 2016 - Change to class on 9th November

We have changed the session on Wednesday 9th November to a normal Wednesday class from a workshop with Stuart Agars, due to members needing time for grading practice. This will run at Thirsk Town Hall from 7pm-8.30pm with a cost of £5 as usual

09 Aug 2016 - Summer 2016 update

A couple updates to sessions this summer:

  • Our Wednesday class on August 17th will take place in Thirsk Town Hall annexe, due to building work in the main hall. Entrance is via the right side of the main door
  • The workshop on September 14th with Stuart Agars will also be taken by Master Hui, who is visiting from Hong Kong. The price of the class has changed to £15 for the whole session and it will last 90 minutes. Following the workshop there will be refreshments and an opportunity to talk to Master Hui

09 Mar 2016 - Springtime update

A number of updates have been made to the site:

  • The date of the May workshop with Stuart Agars has changed to 18th May
  • Dates for 2016 grading practice and grading have now been published
  • Minutes from the 2016 AGM are now in the members area
