Welcome to the Vale of York T'ai Chi Qigong Association

This small, friendly group was founded in 2001 to promote the many health benefits of practising Qigong (pronounced 'chi kung'). We attract members mainly from an area within North Yorkshire stretching from Easingwold in the South to Northallerton in the North

New members are given a warm welcome once they have spent some time learning the basics in one of several Beginners’ Classes held throughout the year in the local area

06 Oct 2019 - Changes to grading

At a recent meeting it was decided that the grading levels at Blue sash, and Orange sash will be split into two separate gradings.

Blue sash first part Monkey Walks the Circle will receive a certificate and the second part The Old Unnamed Form will receive the Blue Sash.

Orange sash first part The Wu Style will receive a certificate and the second part, Lion Shakes its Head and Lion shakes its Mane will receive the Orange Sash.

We hope this change will make it  more manageable for graders and more time to enjoy learning the individual forms.

01 Jun 2019 - Change to workshop 10th July

The class on 10th July will be a workshop taken by Grand Master Hui and Stuart Agars, and will be at a different venue to advertised – St James Church, The Green, Thirsk and will be at a slightly later time of 7.30-9.30.  This will consist of a class on Liu He Ba Fa Chuan and some time for refreshments afterwards.  The class will cost £15.00 per person.

We hope members will support this evening with Grand Master Hui who is visiting the UK from Hong Kong and we are privileged to have him share his knowledge with us along with Stuart.
